I found this link/story www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1897924,00.html over on Barbara DeMarco-Barrett's site a few days ago and thought I'd share the link here. I had no idea. Isn't it interesting how quietly the apology was made when the original lambasting was heard 'round the world?? Perhaps Ms. Winfrey mentioned her apology to her show's audience. I wouldn't know because I'm no longer a loyal follower. I used to be, until this ugliness occurred.
I wish she'd made this apology as loudly as she'd made her original objections known. She might have won me back.

I think I had read about this but it didn't make much difference to me at this point. Oprah's done a lot of good things - but she's not God and shouldn't try to be!
You're right. She has done a lot of good. This one just stuck in my crawl, that's all.
I missed her loving the book show, I missed her mad at fry show, I missed apologizing non-show -- dang, I don't know a thang....
I even missed the whatshisname jumping on the couch show!
We receive reruns so it is like thin, big, skinny, chubby, younger, older, prettier, not so pretty, beautiful, shabby, night to afternoon to morning, day to day. Too much of a thing that is already falling out of trend.
So, I don't know a thing about this one too but gearing to find out.
Oprah is getting boring. I'm glad she's doing some meditating, and I'm hoping it will get her back in touch with commonfolk.
I didn't follow the Frey stuff, but I did read the book she drilled him for, and it was very good (bummer he lied about some of it).
